I have looked but can no longer find anything about after-stroke symptoms. and can’t find much on parkinson’s symptoms. can anyone tell me if there are any similarities like tremors, or can help me find a place on the web that might tell me?
we got the replacement part but no instruction on how to do it
A couple owned and operated dry cleaners in 70s and 80s and now she is treated for MS and he for Parkinson’s although doctors don’t think they have these. I know they replaced ducts for venting the perc 2 or 3 times and their 4 daughters who worked at the cleaners part time, have been told they have MS type symptoms, but not MS. So, what can be done to relieve their problems. Chelation might work for heavy metals, but what would clean this chemical from their bodies and maybe repair the damage done to the central nervous system? Can they be tested to see if perc in their bodies is the problem?
My Grandmother has had this for 22 years. I just wondered if anyone knows if you can live as much as 30 years or more with this disease? Thanks very much in advance for any genuine replies.
I’m watching a program featuring Michael J. Fox, filmed this year, and I think he’s the producer as well. It’ about optimism. I am completely amazed and so glad to see his improved appearance. There is hardly any of the shakiness, uncontrolled movement, and difficulty speaking he’s had for several years! I haven’t seen him on TV for quite a while, but always thought Parkinson’s was a condition that always gets progressively worse. His condition in this program almost seems to be reversed.
My grandad who has Parkinson’s had a fall about 3 months ago and hasn’t had much strength since but also his symptoms of Parkinson’s seem to be worse.
Please answer me in detail about Parkinson disease.
HOw would you feel if you were to see a parkinson’s sufferer trembling in public?
Frightened
or
Manageable to cope with seeing
or
Ok
Thanks in advance.
Also this is for 60 years old male.
A relative of mine is experiencing this and it is awful. I want to know if there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Medical professionals are not giving answers and this has been going on for almost 6 months. The medication causing the psychosis has been taken off him but the psychosis has not stopped. He is now on anti-psychotic medication which makes his movement worse.
And how long did you experience this relief?
Example of this would be something like a Computer chip that was "put" in you through way of injection to a main artery or vein that would let it travel to the brain find place and settle inside. Please only real answeres here as this is a very serious question.
Also, are there any alternative medicine treatments, e.g. homeopathy which can give real relief, even cure??
and if its true do you think we could master learn to unleash it and master it?
i type fast and since your a level 2 the lowest here im going to assum that this was your last answer because you reached your limit

Hi
the tunnel for the mri is very deep. normally covering up to a person’s knees if fully in it. For a brain scan, how deep must a person be in the machine?
after being dropped by the BBC? He is an old and out of date piece of woodwork to put it kindly. It was a good day for television when we finally moved on and stopped watching him. Can’t he go away gracefully and stop jumping on the latest bandwagon?
I’m too sexy for this. Whatever i do i just cant snap out of it. I’ve tried going to the salon to get myself more sexy but when i leave the salon its back to the deep dark depression that consumes my sexy body.
I heard that people only use about 8% of their brains. Does that mean that the other 92% of your brain serves no purpose but to just waste matter? So, you must be able to impale it, right? I’ve been researching this for a while, because I want to get an item shoved into my head and come out alive. Any information would be helpful.
i liked jade goody very much and followed her through her career , and did like parkinson but have gone right off him after what he said about jade goody , how could he be so heartless ? , i think he is a very arrogant smug old man who thinks very highly of himself now does anybody else ?
I’m writing a paper on the involvement of radiologic technologists in the placment of Deep Brain Stimulators. I’ve found quite a bit of information about the procedure from a surgical point of view and I’ve also located a patient willing to present her perspective… what I need is a complete rundown of the procedures and equipment used by the radiographers imaging during the procedure. Can anyone provide this? If anyone happens to work in a department than has even a protocol for the procedure, I’d love to see it. Thanks!
I am in this situation! I am unsure of what the implications of this are as the scan shows no degeneration of the dopamine transport system, which would indicate Parkinsons. Has anyone been in this situation and can advise?
I am considering this "procedure" but i feel I need to hear the real story first` hand from an experienced person. What did they (your medical team, i.e.:neorologist, surgeon) say, which symptoms would improve` change dissapear? Did they? What are the results? How do you feel about DBS overall now?
. What are the risk and how risky is it to the person to have them removed. Thanks for your answers.
I am studying at the moment about Parkinson’s disease. One of the symptoms of the condition is that there is diminished movement, so why is one of the treatment for it is to block acetycholine release from striatal cholinergic neurons when this neurotransmitter has exhibitory propeties and Parkinson’s disease symptoms has diminished movement? Also what is the role of dopamine in this condition?
Is it possible to surgicly remove something, anything that may be "inside" someones brain?
Current medical symptoms for past 6-9 months - Age 50/Male
1. Parkinson’s like tremors in hands and arms and progressively becoming worse as time continues.
2. Losing cognitive ability and memory and these are getting progressively worse as well. I frequently lose track of work or a though right in the middle of it and I have to stop and think for nearly a half a minute to get back on track.
3. Lethargic and lacking in motivation. Kind of depressed, nothing unmanageable.
Over 1 1/2 year ago I had severe tremors occuring in hands, arms and face and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. The neurologist pronounced his diagnosis when I had taken Mirapex for a week and the tremors had vanished in arms and face, and were nearly gone in my hands.
I’m still taking the same amount of Mirapex but now the original symptoms have returned along with the memory and cognitive loss symptoms as well.
Could I have Alzheimers rather than Parkinson’s? I need help.
Does Deep Brain Stimulation Treatment for Parkinson’s Patients treat other symptons beyond shaking? Does it help with the rigidity?
My friends 10 yr old son fell off a hayride and the wheel ran his head over. He was in a coma for 3 months and woke up to a minimal conscious state. She has located hospitals that do deep brain stimulation on adults but not children. Any other advice would help at all!
Parkinson’s law: That work expands to fill the time available for it.
Murphy’s law (also known as Sod’s law): If something can go wrong it will go wrong.
When they work together just one of the things you wanted to get done, gets done, because everything which could go wrong while doing it goes wrong, it means that even Parkinson’s law goes wrong, and there is not enough time to get the work done, no matter how much time you put aside for it.
A dear friend of mine has Stage 3A lung cancer, but also has Parkinson’s Disease, and there appear to be limited treatment options. Can anyone provide some guidance on this issue?
Deep brain stimulation is helping people with MS, Parkinsons, Psychiatric disorders, and other CNS disorders. Could this pacemaker in the brain help Alzheimers?
