I am 24 year old female and was wondering at what age should i really start using anti-wrinkle facial creams. My skin still appears young and I want to do everything possible to prevent/reduce wrinkles. I also have acne prone skin. Does anyone know of a good product?
Thanks!!

Not til you turn 30, and buy a cream that contains retinol and vitamin D. Only put it on at night and around your eyes.

you seem to be around the age that it’s okay to start using them. I currently use Borba Anti Aging Micro Diamond Cleanser & I love it! It’s a 4 in 1 (Cleanser, Toner, Face Wash & Masks) so it saves me money. Not only does it keep my face clear, leaving a nice complexion, it tones my face up. They have different face products for different problems. So if you wanted Wrinkles try Firming or Anti Aging.

http://www.borba.com go check it out. they’re products are amazing & i highly recommend using this. I know it might be a little pricy, but trust me it’s worth it. Plus it lasts a long time if you use it the right way.

If your not sure which ones to try out, take their -lets get personal- survey & they will give you a regime & what products to use :)

oh yeah their prices run between $18 – $50 depends which products you get

i am in no way saying that this is a good age to start using those creams because to tell you the truth i have NO idea. BUT i DO know a 30 something year old woman who has noooo wrinkles, and when i asked her what she does, she said shes used those creams since she was 25. Now it COULD be the cream, but it may also be her genetics because i know a 60 yr old woman who has minimal wrinkles on her face, she looks about 40. When i asked her what HER secret was, she said no cream, no face wash no nothing. "leave your face alone". So i have no idea.

When her skin starts to age. Some women never use them. My mom is almost 50 and doesn’t really have many wrinkles, other than a few frown lines, and the only thing I’ve seen her use to cleanse her face is a wash cloth and possibly a face scrub I bought and hated. It really just depends on your skin and when you feel you want to use them.

I’m 18, almost 19, and I use an anti-wrinkle cream at night, but I was also a smoker (former now!) for two years which caused some issues with my skin. I also use it to help with acne and acne scars as opposed to really using it for anti-aging.

The product that I currently use is Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle cream, the original formula, and I use this as my night cream. I would advise against using anythign anti-aging in the day time, as most have ingredients that will cause sun sensitivity. They also have another formula called Ani Wrinkle Anti Blemish, but that one doesn’t have as good of reviews as the other formula. The Anti Wrinkle one has a 4.3 out of 5 rating on makeupalley, definitely worth checking out.

Just keep your skin care simple and gentle. Don’t use harsh products, use hydrating products on a regular basis (if your skin can handle it, try out a hydrating face mask every 1-2 weeks) and keep healthy overall.

As smoni pointed out, genetics plays a huge role in how much you have to care for your skin. There are many women that just never seem to age, others that age right away. Some women take a minimalistic approach, others use anything they can find to help keep wrinkles at bay. Your skin type can also play a role – My mother has oilier skin (not quite so much now that she’s older) and both my sister and I do as well. When you have oilier skin, wrinkles are usually a lot less noticeable, and sometimes don’t even show up. I think that you are at a good age to start, but keep it simple.

Be careful of what you use if you are still battling acne. It’s never too early to start fighting signs of aging but alot of "aging" products contain oils to rehydrate skin because our skin tends to dry w/ age. Those oils could cause an acne flare up. At the very least you can at least start working on your eyes. A great eye cream isn’t gonna break you out. As far as moisturizing the rest of your face, all I can tell you is Neutrogena and Clinique have oil free moisturizers. Hope this helps.

It really depends. Do you have wrinkles? Use it.

my mom is 51 and looks 30 and she don’t use any of the over priced crap you can buy made for that.

my aunt (her sister) is 49 and looks 55. don’t buy the "it’s all genetics" crap either.

mom’s secret.
don’t bake yourself in the sun. or at least use sun screen.

once a week cover your face with vitamin E.
(sounds a little weird i know.)

wash your face every morning and every evening but don’t get rid of all of the oil in your skin its actually good even though it can cause those horrible pimples. clean and clear is the best product for that.

Diana, I’m 20 and I already have been using an anti wrinkle cream for the past 3 years. My reason is it’s better to prevent then to try to cure. I recommend what I use; Preve extreme anti aging by Isabella Pelle. It’s made specifically for fine lines/wrinkles. It has the highest concentration of "peptides" active ingredients to fight them. Also has the highest concentration of the best known moisturizer, hyaluronic acid. This has kept my skin baby smooth.
Last month they came out with a more concentrated version of Preve called Cura. It’s everything Preve except they concentrated it to extreme. I got it 2 weeks ago; it’s excellent. http://www.isabellapelle.com/antiagingcream.html What you need to do is decide which one works best for you. I recommend both.
