Im 16- can i use the Olay anti wrinkle firming product for under eye wrinkles?
I know ppl say u shouldn’t be worrying about that now, once ur in ur late 20’s or older u can start with that stuff, but i have undereye wrinkles now! Will a firming cream for that area affect me in any negative way whatsoever using it at this age or is it just not usually done? Thank you.
Are there any products you can recommend?

It wont necessarily have adverse effects on you, other than it might be too active for your skin, even if you see wrinkles around your eyes. Anti-aging products aren’t simply meant to work with wrinkled skin, they also have to do with skin age… the technologies used in anti-aging skin care are specifically designed to address problems in aged skin that cause wrinkles. Wrinkles in young skin happen for a completely different reason.
If you’re finding wrinkles around your eyes it’s probably due to a lack of hydration and not aging, so I would say don’t sink money into an anti-aging eye/ firming eye cream, just get a good basic eye cream and the effect on your young skin will be that it hydrates and as a result firms your eye area.
I recommend Caudalie products… they’re pricey, but totally worth it, I use their skincare exclusively and its made a huge difference in the way my skin looks. Go to Sephora and get samples, it’s fantastic stuff! I’m stuck with my skin forever, so it’s worth it to me to invest in it.
no. u might not be getting enough sleep thats why
drink plenty of water
Honestly, you’d be better off changing your diet and exercise. Lots of teens get wrinkles and bags because their diets are full of caffeine and processed foods, they’re often dehydrated, and don’t get enough sleep. I suggest you start incorporating water and fresh fruits and veggies into your daily routine, and make sure you’re getting both sunshine and plenty of sleep. You’ll notice a difference in the overall appearance of your skin, including around your eyes, in a couple of weeks, and you’ll be starting healthy habits that will keep your skin pretty and fresh looking well into your 40’s.
Yes, you can use it now. It is a good idea to start moisturizing etc. early BEFORE the wrinkles show up. Using it at this age will not have any negative effect.
I use Estee Lauder Day Wear during the day and Resilience Lift Extra at night. They are good products, but might be too moisturizing for your young skin - it might leave you looking greasy.
i ‘m agree with you. maybe your skin is too dry, you need to moist all you face skin, i recommend eye cream from SK II, so rich on moisturizer and feel unheavy. Use it twice a day.
Hi!
Yeah I know what you mean I get it 2 no it won’t hurt u just a lot of younger people don’t have it u should try one of the face creams from cover girl get the one that says firming it really helps & it would be good for your skin to drink more water but if you are not used 2 it trust me u will pee 80 times a day I tried it.
personally i wouldn’t start using them yet huni. i’d try changing ur diet and sleeping patterns may be applying some cooling cucumbers on your eyes
Yes you can, I’m 14 and I use that for under my eyes. You also need to drink more water and get enough sleep.
katy, you are never too old to take care of your skin. When you are 90 and your skin looks like leather, due to lack of care, abuse, and just old age it’s kind of late for anything. I’m 20
I use a 3 step approach; (water, sleep, eye cream)
first get your sleep, lack of it will give you eye puffiness, drink min. 3 glasses of water daily to keep skin hydrated. I use: Extreme Eye Rescue by Isabella Pelle. It’s made specifically for eye wrinkles, the dreaded dark circles, and eye puffiness. Apply/massage it around the eye area twice daily. . Hope this helps you as it did for me. http://www.isabellapelle.com/eyewrinklecream.html
Just use a regular moisturizer. I reccomend Cetaphil Spf 15. You need sunscreen everyday or else anti wrinkle creams are obsolete. Sunscreen is the best step in antiaging.
YOur skin is probably dried out. Drink more water. Dont use harsh cleansers. Be aware of what acne treatments you use. Take Vitamins Eat healthily
Dont spend all that money on a wrinkle cream
There are no bad effects but your skin could become dependent on the rich moisture at a young age.
Think about it if you get used to using this stuff at age 16 youre going to need it 10 years down the road. Thats ALOT of money. When you would definitely be better off using Cetaphil Spf 15 (only 9 dollars, lasts for 5-6 months) This is the age when harmful skin damage occurs so you really need to focus on that not fancy anti aging stuff.
